Patriotic Striped Scarf Free Crochet Pattern

Not only is Memorial Day the unofficial start of summer fun, it is also the official day of the Indy 500 car race. The Indy 500 has been held on Memorial Day since 1911 when Ran Harroun won the race. His average speed was 74.6 mph, and it took 6 hours and 42 minutes for him to get to the checkered flag! Compare that to last year’s race, won by Tony Kanaan with an average speed of 187.4 mph. He passed the checkered flag in 2 hours 40 minutes. Racing has come a long way in 103 years!

 

 

You may not have a checkered flag to wave, but you can have a red, white and blue striped scarf with Maggie’s Patriotic Striped Scarf Free Crochet Pattern. This adorable scarf is an easy skill level project, and can be completed quickly using  Serenity Chunky bulky weight yarn and Serenity Baby light worsted weight yarn.
