One of the best things about the holidays is the food. There’s always so much of it! I love cooking, but during the holidays I don’t want to spend ALL of my time in the kitchen. Fortunately, I’ve found a few easy-to-do recipes that will make it easy for me to have some great food without spending so much time in the kitchen.
Let’s see what’s cooking for breakfast.
I found this Christmas brunch casserole at Allrecipes.com. It can be put together the night before, so all you have to do Christmas morning is pop it into the oven.
This Cream Cheese appetizer from Spoonful.com is super easy and super cute, perfect for any holiday get-together.
Martha Stewart makes this Tomato Sausage Lasagna easy by soaking the noodles in hot tap water while preparing the sauce, eliminating the need to boil them.
Another selection from Martha Stewart, this Easy trifle dessert uses store-bought pound cake and lemon curd. It can also be assembled ahead of time. Yum!
The internet is full of ideas for making the holidays easy and exciting. Hope these few suggestions have inspired you to cook up something special for your family this holiday season. And remember, food doesn’t have to be complicated to be delicious. These recipes may look difficult, but with some easy short-cuts and do-aheads, they will add some sophistication to your holiday meal without adding extra time in the kitchen.
Hugs,
Maggie
