The Liberty Bell is a quintessential symbol of American Independence, but did you know that it was not rung to celebrate the ratification of the Declaration of Independence? It became cracked sometime in the early 19th century. Today it is symbolically tapped 13 times every July 4.
If you’ve ever made a ruffled scarf you may have noticed how the ruffles sometimes look like bells in the way they cascade down. This Patriotic Ruffled Scarf is a regular Starbella ruffled scarf that is then embellished with Merry to add a touch of whimsy.
To begin this project, you will make a ruffled scarf using Starbella Stripes. Once you’ve finished the basic scarf, you will then go back and crochet into the chain of the scarf using Merry. The videos will make it all perfectly clear, and you will love the result.
