This flower may look like a daisy, but daisies are only one flower in the family of asters. Most share a similar shape, having many long and skinny petals.
Our Aster pattern can be made with two rounds of petals, as shown below, or leave off the second round for a daintier flower.
This flower can be worked with any weight of yarn. Finer weights will create a smaller flower, and bulkier weights will create a larger flower. Use the hook size appropriate for the yarn you choose. We used worsted weight yarn and a size G-6 hook in our samples.
