Add that extra bit of warmth you need with a graceful shawl trimmed with a lovely leaf pattern. The Lotus Petals Shawl is an intermediate skill level project that is worked from the top edge down. The leaf pattern is created using a shell stitch called “Leafy Arches”, which is a variation of the “Arches” pattern used in the Beach Bag. The rest of the shawl is worked in treble crochet.
Just like the Beach Bag, we used Cotton Fair by Premier to make our shawl. Cotton Fair is soft and lightweight, perfect for luxurious garments. And it comes in 18 beautiful colors.
This pattern also requires 2 crochet hooks, a G-6 and an H-8. Deborah Norville Crochet Hooks have a beautifully dyed wood surface that warms up quickly in your hands. Their polished wood surface and smooth tapered point glide effortlessly through any type of yarn.
