Father’s Day was the brainchild of Sonya Dodd, who came up with the idea one Sunday morning at church as she listened to a Mother’s Day sermon. She thought there should be a day to honor fathers like her dad, William Smart, who raised six children as a single father after his wife passed away. Sandra certainly loved her dad very much.
You can show Dad just how much you love him when you crochet this adorable I Love Dad Hanger Crochet Pattern. This cute little memento is quickly crocheted using Serenity Chunky for the background, with the appliques done in Everyday worsted. For this project you will also need a size J/10 crochet hook like the Clover Amour, a yarn needle for sewing appliques to background, and a 10″ dowel rod or skewer.
