Summer may be going strong, but cooler weather is coming! That means it’s time to start thinking about some fall crochet projects that you can do now. This Midnight Dune Scarf is a great crochet project for summer. It is crocheted in single six-sided motifs that are then sewn together to make this beautiful scarf, which means it is a very portable project, great to take with you on vacation or wherever you may be traveling.
Midnight Dune Scarf is crocheted using Wool Free Lace Yarn from Premier. Wool Free Lace is a #1 super fine weight acrylic metallic yarn. If you look closely at the photos above you can see the added sparkle from the metallic threads. Another great feature of Wool Free Lace is that all of the colors you see in the scarf come from the same skein of yarn, so you get great color changes without actually having to change skeins. Wool Free Lace is also machine washable and dryable for easy care.
You will need 2 skeins of yarn and a size H-8 crochet hook for this project. The finished size of the scarf is 10″ wide by 52″ long, but you can make it longer if you wish by adding more motifs.
Ready to get started? Let’s watch the video and see how to crochet the motif. If you’re familiar with the basic granny square, then this project will be a breeze for you!
