Poinsettia are often associated with Fall and Christmas, but their beautiful red color can be enjoyed all year round with this Poinsettia pattern. Did you know that the “petals” of the Poinsettia are technically not petals at all, but leaves that turn color in the fall?
Our Poinsettia pattern mimics the popular plant, even down to the yellow center. For a slightly more festive touch, we used a metallic chenille stem to add a little sparkle!
This project can be worked with any weight of yarn. Finer yarns will produce a smaller flower, and bulkier yarns will produce larger flowers. Just be sure to pick the hook size appropriate for your yarn! We used light worsted weight yarn and a size H-8 hook.
