Take the best of easy crochet – bulky weight yarn, a large hook, and single crochets – and add the excitement of ruffling yarn, add them together, and what do you get? This Popover Pillow! Made with Starbella® from Premier® Yarns, this pillow cover works up fast and is SO adorable. We just love it, and you will too! The cover itself is worked in the round. Then the ruffle is made by picking up the individual loops of the ruffle netting. You’ll need a size Q crochet hook and some contrasting yarn to mark the beginning of each round.

Here are some still shots from the video showcasing some of the crochet techniques used to make this pillow cover.
One side of the pillow cover is finished. We’ll be working on the other side.
When working in the round, it helps to use a contrasting piece of yarn to mark the beginning of each round.
Pulling the contrasting yarn forward to mark the new round
Crochet the front to the back, leaving an opening to insert the pillow form.
To make the ruffle, pick up a loop from the netting side and pull through.
