This Sizzling Scalloped Shawlette is a great summer project. It’s the perfect weight for a breezy summer night, and is also very easy to crochet on the go. This shawl uses a variety of stitches, including double crochets and triple crochets, and is rated as an intermediate skill level project.
Experiment with draping the shawlette different ways. Try using a broach to hold it in place, as in the picture above.
Sizzling Scalloped Shawlette is crocheted using Wool-Free Lace Yarn from Premier. Wool-Free Lace is a #1 super fine weight acrylic metallic yarn. If you look closely at the photos above you can see the added sparkle from the metallic threads. Another great feature is the color variation in each skein. Red Hot, the color used in the sample, contains various shades of pink and red, adding interest and variety to the finished project. Other colors have multiple hues, such as the Limestone Glow used in the Midnight Dune Scarf. Wool-Free Lace is also machine washable and dryable for easy care.
You will need one skein of Wool-Free Lace yarn and a size H-8 hook for this project. The finished shawl is about 10 inches wide by 65 inches long.
